Invite to Robert Munsch Pulic School

Through Tanya Murray we worked out an invite to Robert Munsch Pulic school to see if staff were interested in a forming a short term professional inquiry group over 2 or 3 months.

The school is into a system prompted initiative to inquire into three areas -math, mental health and modern learning and is having a few bumps getting into an inquiry mode.

Anyway this is where it can be so helpful for someone outside to come in.
-we can ask for things that can't be asked from inside

I looked at their mandate documents and some of their notes.

had 90 minutes to make a pitch

-gratitude for the work we do
-provocation activity -what keeps you up t night -leading to a kbc on what should the school experience entail
-notes and kbc debrief  -this had fabulous insights that indicated the " right people" were in the room

-showed two videos  -debrief -where was the math, mental health, modern learning
-conventional - transformative table
-principles
-referenced dots and nc
-examplained the process for a small group -and the requriemens
-then did an end of session reflection -exit card   -I learn.. I like .. and put your name down if you want to be considered for the group

-bango we got 10 signing up

-in a school of 30 I would bet this is critical mass

-will see where it goes and post here but my sense is this is where we need to be even more than doing institutes -embedded PD  -let's work to get here
